In a significant development yesterday, President Bola Tinubu took a crucial step towards shaping his administration by assigning roles to 45 out of the 48 ministers he recently appointed. Notable highlights include Nyesom Wike, former governor of Rivers State, as the head of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and David Umahi, former Ebonyi State governor, entrusted with the Works Ministry.

Surprisingly absent from the ministerial lineup was the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, hinting at a potential restructuring or reevaluation of its role within the government.

The announcement of the portfolios was made on the evening of August 16 by Ajuri Ngelae, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
