Description

It’s our first edition this year, so a resounding “Happy New Year!” would not be out of place to all our exalted readers. Between our last edition and this present one, a lot has happened… In this edition, we have a potpourri of happenstances, incidents and occurrences that shaped the content in the magazine. For those who were outside the country, the EndSARS protests which were daily in the news towards the end of last year, must have assailed your consciousness, especially the controversy of if any protester was killed or not, and who gave the order to shoot, hmmn, the cover story of this 18th Edition succinctly captures the phenomenon. Similarly, our Woman Extraordinaire deservedly goes to a woman of substance who has the whole world talking, but on a positive note. She is a pace-maker and barrier[1]breaker who has given her best to the country and is now on loan to the world. The magic comes alive in our travelogue for this edition, as we journey on rough roads and rocky grounds, to Mpape in the FCT to behold the beauty of what should be a tourist attraction, but is sadly, a site that has suffered rejection. Our usual exciting columns of Arts and Culture, Beating the Odds, Entre-leader, Ethics and Values, the Millenials, NGO Watch, In my Day, Searching Inwards and Muse Lounge, are configured to magnetise your attention. Happy reading. Remember, We care…
