Missing Abuja Undergraduate Found Dead, Police Begin Probe

Tragic events, reveals Blessing Karami, an undergraduate student at the National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja, who had been declared missing on September 11, 2023, was tragically discovered deceased in the woods of the Karimo area within the Federal Capital Territory.

The authorities, in response to this unsettling development, have shifted their focus to conducting a comprehensive and impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding Miss Karami’s untimely demise.

The alarm regarding the missing student was initially raised after she had reportedly left her workplace in the Garki area of Abuja, just before closing time on September 11, 2023, sending shockwaves through her community.

Our correspondent has confirmed that the Divisional Police Headquarters in Durumi, Abuja, apprehended one Aminu, purportedly the boyfriend of the deceased, following an intensive interrogation regarding her mysterious disappearance.

Genesis Karami, the elder brother of the late Blessing, disclosed to the police that he had received a perplexing call on Tuesday, wherein the caller claimed to have knowledge of his sister’s lifeless body. Unfortunately, this lead proved to be a cruel hoax.

“The caller said he saw a female body in Idu, so we asked him to describe what she was wearing, and he told us exactly what we were told my sister wore to the office the day she went missing,” stated Mr. Karami during his interaction with the police at the Durumi Divisional Police Headquarters on Wednesday.

Mr. Karami went on to recount his ordeal, revealing that after unsuccessful attempts to contact the Durumi Divisional Police Officer (DPO), he and a group of policemen visited the police station at Karmo. However, the elusive caller continued to mislead them, changing locations until they eventually desisted.

Regrettably, Mr. Karami later confirmed the tragic fate of his sister, with her decomposed remains discovered in the Karmo bush. Due to the advanced state of decomposition, the family arranged for assistance from environmental authorities for the delicate task of retrieving and laying her to rest.
