SISA RUBY Commissions Class Room At IDP Camp

It is never unusual for us to talk about matters that impacts greatly on the life of the next individual. Imagine a child schooling in an environment like this where there are no chalk boards, where the ground is levelled only with sand and the place open to goats and other animals that chooses to call the school their own shelter.

This was the plight of the school located at the IDP camp in Durumi, Abuja, until the SISA Ruby Abuja 2022 came, saw and decided to conquer the environmental hazard.

The journey to renovating the class room was not an easy one and it was no doubt capital intensive but the Ruby team remained dauntless and rather motivated one another to creating a legacy that would outlive their one year service with the NYSC.

Together they worked, motivated by the sheer will to leave for the children at the IDP camp a bigger opportunity for a better future, they rallied around, speaking to their communities, friends, families, employers to be a part of the change that is required at the IDP Camp.

Nothing is impossible to the one who is committed to making a vision possible and this is the story of the Ruby team, today, the Ruby Team commissioned the class room at the IDP camp, Durumi, a class room with a beautiful wall, a standard flooring, a board and sets of doors to ensure the security of the class. Now the children at the IDP camp have a standard class room for their education.

A truly commendable feat, this could not have been possible without the National Youth Service Corps – NYSC who ensured that Nigerian youths understood the true meaning of service to the nation.

We applaud and congratulate the SISA RUBY TEAM for this epoch achievement 👏 🙌 👌 💪 👍
