The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has issued immediate terminations of appointments for the heads of 21 prominent parastatals, agencies, and government corporations operating within the purview of the FCT Administration. This announcement was made through an official press statement delivered by Anthony Ogunleye, the Director of Press at the Office of the Minister, in the capital city of Abuja on Wednesday.
The high-ranking officials who find themselves affected by this sweeping change in leadership are:
- The Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Abuja Investment Company Ltd.
- The CEO/Managing Director (MD) of Abuja Markets Management Ltd.
- The MD/CEO of Abuja Urban Mass Transport Company.
- The CEO/MD of Abuja Property Development Company.
- The CEO/MD of Abuja Technology Village Free Trade Zone Company.
- The CEO/MD of Abuja Film Village International.
- The CEO/MD of Powernoth AICL Equipment Leasing Company Ltd.
- The MD of Abuja Broadcasting Corporation.
- The MD of Abuja Enterprise Agency.
- The General Manager of FCT Water Board.
- The Director-General (DG) of FCT Emergency Management Agency.
- The Executive Secretary of FCT Primary Healthcare Board.
- The DG of Hospital Management Board.
- The Director of Abuja Environmental Protection Board.

Mr. Ogunleye emphasized that the affected appointees have been directed to hand over the responsibilities of their respective offices to the most senior officers in terms of rank. Furthermore, it was revealed that new appointments to these vital positions will be announced in the coming days.
