S.I Magazine Volume 6

Hello and Welcome to the May/June edition of your bi-monthly companion. It promises to be a sweet ride as we take you to the beautiful state of Benue. Have a feel of the famous A’nger clothing of the Tiv people in Benue State and discover nature’s priceless gift to Nigeria in Farin Ruwa Waterfalls, a tourist site that is begging for exploration in Nasarawa State. ‘All work and no play is said to make Jack a dull boy’, therefore in order not to have dull staff members, SI Magazine treated its members of staff to a two-day retreat which featured lectures, training, symposium, and of course, refreshments. Teens now have a say on SI Magazine! Can you beat that? On ‘Teens Corner’ – our maiden teens column – rediscover your teenage years with these two beautiful hosts who will stop at nothing to make you feel young again, irrespective of your age. It’s no longer news that farmers and Fulani herdsmen in some parts of the North-Central and recently some parts of the South-East have been on each other’s throat, but what is news is that SI Magazine brings you story from Benue Sate on the lingering battle between these two warring parties. Women are on a daily basis proving their mettle that there is no longer any profession that is an exclusive preserve for the male folks. Ganiyat Kolawole is one of the women that have defiled all odds to show that they are extraordinary. She is a car upholstery repairer with exquisite service delivery. It is a complete package to make your May/June beautiful, even as the country marks one year of her smooth transition to another political dispensation. Have fun and Happy Democracy Day!

Description

Hello! Welcome to the 9th edition of your favourite bi-monthly publication. As a kid I wondered what became of scraps and junks that gets thrown out. Well, do you know what becomes of them? Be ready to find out. Uncover the act of wealth making from scraps in our cover page story. History will always be an integral part of human existence. Knowing one’s origin gives a beautiful sense of belonging and our art and culture column zoomed its lenses into the ancestral home of the Yoruba’s in Osun State. Our travelogue destination is the ‘State of the Living Spring’. Allow your feelings run freely as you behold beautiful pictures from the Erin-ijesha waterfall. People always crave to stand out from a crowd, but few people actually do what it takes to set them apart. Get to meet our Woman Extraordinaire who would give the popular animation character ‘fix-it Felix’ a run for the money. And with great focus, our ‘NGO Watch’ page captures the activities and life-changing impact of the Gede Foundation. My advice? You sit back, relax, grab yourself a drink and enjoy the rest of our interesting features. Have a great read!
