10-year-old Lagos girl was suspended from Chrisland School after she was raped by a male classmate.
Social media went agog last week over the claim made by a socialite Ubi Franklin that a 10 year old girl was raped at Dubai having travelled there for a school competition.
The Nigerian preteen, whose identity was protected due to the nature of the case, was suspended after she was accused of taking part in a truth-or-dare game in the United Arab Emirates.
According to information gathered, the victim was chosen by the school to represent them in the World School Games, which were held in Dubai for three days in March 2022.
The school was among the three schools from Nigeria which participated, and they won over 30 medals.
Upon her return from Dubai, the authorities at Chrisland School conducted a pregnancy test on her without the knowledge of the family which revealed she was pregnant.
The little girl who was said to have been a victim of rape, which led to the unwanted pregnancy, was issued a suspension letter on the 14th of April.
The letter stated that they suspended the girl for “improper behaviour” after playing the truth-or-dare game, describing her as a “major participant.”

- with a few of her counterparts wilfully participated in a game they called Truth or Dare’, a game which led her and a few other co-learners to carry out immoral act after the lights out instruction was given.

- A full scale investigation has been done and the parents of all the culpable learners have been duly notified with the necessary punishment meted out on the learners.

- However, in the course of the school’s efforts to see how best we can help who was a major participant In the whole incident, every effort to inform you as her parent about the incident and ensure that this improper behaviour is permanently corrected, has proved to be futile. We cannot as a school condone such.
- Consequently, is hereby placed on indefinite suspension until you as the parents ensure that she is punished, adequately counselled and rehabilitated.

The girl’s parents told a socialite that she had been raped by a fellow Chrisland School student who recorded the assault and shared it on social media.
They said they took their child and lied to them that she was going for a COVID-19 test but ended up conducting a pregnancy test on her.
The video of the little girl was said to spread like a wild fire on Instagram without the knowledge of the parents, who later got the information from a family friend.
