- Capt. Musa Shuaibu Nuhu, the Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), has been temporarily suspended for an impartial investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Capt. Chris Najomo steps in as Acting Director-General, ensuring smooth operations during this period.
President Bola Tinubu also greenlights the initiation of a meticulous process, led by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, to appoint a substantive Vice-Chancellor and principal officers for the African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU).
The President envisions that the new leadership will prioritize the safety, convenience, and comfort of the Nigerian people, aligning administrative activities with a Renewed Hope Agenda. Recognizing the cost of underperformance, the President urges the prompt establishment of world-class policies to rejuvenate the aviation sector. All directives come into effect immediately, symbolizing a compassionate commitment to transformative change.
