Property worth millions of naira were destroyed by rainstorm in some parts of Akure, the Ondo State capital and some other towns in the state.

However no life was reportedly lost in the incident. To this end, some of the affected residents of the communities have called on the federal and state governments to assist them to cushion the effect of the loss.
