The Search Inwards Group of Companies consists of several key entities: Search Inwards Magazine, Search Inwards Social Ambassador (SISA), Beyond Mentors Community Care Initiative (BMCCI), Beyond Mentors Limited (BML), and Women Community in Africa (WCA). These organisations work collaboratively to advance the welfare of communities, particularly focusing on empowering women, youth, and vulnerable groups, while addressing pressing socio-economic challenges and promoting sustainable development.

As COO, Dr. Salim will oversee the group’s strategic direction, ensuring the effective implementation of its initiatives. The group’s goal is to reach 10 million Africans by 2028, with Search Inwards Magazine acting as a powerful information channel to inspire social change. Dr. Salim will also work closely with Search Inwards Social Ambassador (SISA), the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of SI Group, which activates and drives community-based projects to ensure the group’s vision is realised at the local level.

Dr. Salim’s leadership will be crucial in advancing the objectives of Beyond Mentors Limited (BML), which aims to equip organisations and individuals with the necessary skills and resources to thrive in the 4th Industrial Revolution. By bridging the gap between the old world and the global economy, BML seeks to create new opportunities for everyone in Africa. Dr. Salim’s extensive expertise in human capacity development and strategic leadership will be vital in achieving these goals.

Additionally, Dr. Salim will provide strategic oversight to Beyond Mentors Community Care Initiative (BMCCI), which focuses on delivering impactful social transformation programmes. BMCCI addresses important social issues such as gender equality, economic, empowerment, and health, ensuring that its solutions are both sustainable and community-driven. Dr. Salim’s experience will guide the initiative in developing long-term, transformative programmes.

In addition to her role as COO, Dr. Salim is the Summit Chairperson for Women Community in Africa (WCA), the advocacy arm of the Beyond Mentors Community Care Initiatives. WCA aims to amplify the voices of women and address critical issues such as gender-based violence, and socio-economic challenges facing African women. Dr. Salim’s leadership in this capacity highlights her unwavering commitment to advancing the welfare of women and children across Africa. She has also contributed to inspiring leadership and Women’s Political Participation (WPP) among CSOs and individuals.

Dr. Salim has a strong background in training Non-Profit Organisations, Corporates, and Governments in leadership, corporate culture, change management, and diversity. She has held influential roles, including Vice-Chair for Women in Business at the Durban Chamber of Commerce, Marketing and Fundraising Director for the African Woman Leadership Organisation (AWLO), and various board positions with Non-Profit Organisations. Her vast leadership experience has made her a recognised figure in the fields of social entrepreneurship and empowerment.
